The International Industrial Automation and Control Technology Exhibition organized annually by the Chinese Association of Automation in Shanghai (IAC, TME+SENSOR 2008) will be held from June 4-6 next year at the Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Center.
During previous exhibitions, the annual "Sensor Summit" has discussed the latest sensor technologies and applications. Starting from next year's event, the organizers will conduct more in-depth discussions on sensor applications in specific industries. The "2008 International Sensor Technology and Automotive Industry Summit" will be held during IAC, TME+SENSOR 2008. The conference will deeply discuss the use of sensors in automotive production lines and automotive sensors as main topics, focusing on the most advanced wireless sensor technology, automotive sensors and new materials, sensors and safe driving. The German Sensor Technology Association AMA and "Automotive Manufacturing" magazine will organize experts and enterprises from Europe and China to deliver excellent presentations. Related companies will also showcase their latest sensor products and technology applications in the industry during the concurrent IAC, TME+SENSOR 2008 exhibition.
Additionally, according to relevant estimates, the automotive industry's demand for sensors next year will be approximately 1.487 billion units. The Chinese market is a major market for the development of automotive sensors. This year's total market sales are expected to reach about $540 million. Against the backdrop of the booming automotive industry and increasingly important automotive electronic technology, the demand for automotive sensors is growing rapidly. Small, multi-functional, integrated, and intelligent sensors will replace traditional ones and become the mainstream in the automotive sensor market. The level of industrial sensing technology will directly affect the level of automation systems - the more advanced the automation technology, the higher the dependence on sensing technology. Therefore, this market share will be huge and promising. Currently, industrial sensors are becoming smaller, more specialized, and more customer-oriented.
